Growing Kindness Flower Pots
By Tati
July is a wonderful time to support our community and help small businesses. One fun way kids can do this is by making a kindness flower pot. You can give it to a local business owner, a neighbor, a teacher, or someone who works hard in your community.
What You Need:
• A small flower pot
• Paint or markers
• Paintbrushes
• Potting soil
• Flower seeds or a small flower
• Stickers or ribbons (optional)
Step 1:
Paint your flower pot with bright colors. You can draw hearts, flowers, sunshine, or smiley faces.
Step 2:
Write a kind message on your pot like:
“You help our community grow.”
“Thank you for your hard work.”
“You make our town special.”
Step 3:
Let the paint dry completely.
Step 4:
Fill the pot with soil and plant your flower or seeds.
Step 5:
Make a small card that says who the flower is for and sign your name.
Step 6:
Give your flower pot to a local business owner, neighbor, or someone who helps your community.
Just like flowers need sunshine and water to grow, people need kindness and encouragement. When we support small businesses and show kindness to others, we help our whole community bloom.
Remember, even small acts of kindness can make a very big difference.
