Vegas, Served

Real stories. Real life. Real hospitality.

Don’t forget to tip your server.

I was born and raised in Las Vegas which usually surprises people.

Yes, we exist. We went to high school here. We had curfews. We did homework while tourists were losing rent money down the street. Las Vegas isn’t just a vacation destination; it’s a hometown. It’s desert sunsets, neighborhood block parties, and knowing how to navigate the Strip faster than GPS ever could.

And for over 20 years, the Las Vegas Strip has also been my workplace.

I’m a casino cocktail server. Which means I’ve built a career walking miles in heels, balancing trays of drinks, reading people in seconds, and mastering the fine art of smiling through absolute chaos. I’ve seen 21st birthday celebrations, last chances, jackpot celebrations, and “this is my villain origin story” meltdowns sometimes all in the same shift.

Working on the casino floor gives you a front-row seat to human behavior. It also gives you stories. So many stories.

While my social media may have started with casino stories, it’s evolved into something more layered part storytelling, part real-life documentation, and part hospitality education. Yes, I share the funny guest moments and the “only in Vegas” chaos. But I also break down the why behind it all tipping culture, service expectations, guest psychology, and the unspoken rules of the casino floor. After two decades in high-volume hospitality, you start to see patterns. You understand pressure. You understand people. And I’ve realized that what feels like everyday experience to me is actually insight for others.

Outside of work, my platforms show the full picture girls’ days in Chinatown, blind box unboxings and shopping hauls that bring small doses of joy, an occasional dining experience, skin cancer awareness, and honest conversations about navigating perimenopause while working in a city that never slows down. Because hospitality professionals don’t stop being human when we clock out. We balance families, aging parents, hormones, ambition, reinvention all while serving the front-facing energy Las Vegas is known for.

But this column and my life isn’t just about cocktails and casino lights.

Each month, I’ll be blending three worlds:

• Real local Las Vegas life beyond the tourist lens

• The behind-the-scenes realities of being a long-time casino cocktail server

• And the very real, sometimes hilarious journey of navigating peri-menopause as an independent woman in this city

You’ll get the stories you won’t hear on vacation. You’ll get honesty about hospitality. You’ll get humor about hormones. And you’ll get a reminder that Las Vegas locals aren’t just part of the backdrop we’re the heartbeat.

Because being born and raised here gives perspective. This city teaches resilience. It teaches reinvention. It teaches how to handle pressure whether it’s a packed casino floor or your own shifting season of life.

Las Vegas raised me. The casino floor sharpened me. Midlife is refining me.

And I’m just getting started.
